 The Anderson County School district’s strives to develop, challenge, & support every student every day. Through a commitment to excellence in the classroom, they focus on literacy and preparing their students to be college & career ready. Elementary and middle schools provide a solid foundation for student success. There are eleven elementary schools, four middle schools, and two high schools that serve approximately 6,000 students.

School-Based Setting

Anderson County Schools serves over 6,500 children across 17 schools in grades PreK through 12. Within Anderson County, approximately 36% of students are economically disadvantaged, 19% of students have a disability, and 0.3% of students are English Language Learners.

Internship

The school psychology internship at Anderson Co. Schools provides a continuum of experiences including assessment, consultation, observation, interviewing, report writing, small group and individual counseling, crisis intervention, and parenting classes

Experiences are available across the ranges of child development from birth to three programs through high school.

Interns are encouraged to develop independent as well as collaborative skills for working in schools.
